AMD introduces Radeon Pro Software Enterprise Driver 18.Q2

AMD has released the new Radeon Pro Software Enterprise Driver 18.Q2, which offers significant performance improvements in professional applications such as CATIA, Creo and Siemens NX, alongside enhanced security features and stability.

Delivering on AMD's promise to deliver quarterly driver updates, Radeon Pro Software Enterprise Edition 18.Q2 features:

Improved performance

Significant year-over-year performance improvements in leading professional applications, including Siemens NX (47%), Autodesk 3ds Max (44%), CATIA (37%), Creo (14% ) and SOLIDWORKS (12%).

Security

Radeon Pro Software Enterprise Edition 18.Q2 works with Windows Defender Device Guard when using Windows 10 Enterprise edition to help thwart malicious attacks.

Supports for Windows 10 updates

Radeon Pro Software Enterprise Driver 18.Q2 will work with the Windows 10 April 2018 update.

New Windows versions of the Radeon ProRender plug-ins for Autodesk Blender and Maya

Following the release of new macOS versions in April, AMD is introducing updated Windows and Linux versions of the Radeon ProRender plug-in for Blender, an updated version of the Windows plug-in for Maya, as well as updating the Radeon ProRender plug-in for 3ds Max. 

The new Windows plug-ins introduce several new features and enhancements including updates to the uber and light shaders, support for volumetrics and interactive denoising.

Radeon ProRender is AMD’s physically-based rendering engine for CAD designers and 3D artists, available with free plug-ins and add-ins for Autodesk 3ds Max, Maya, Blender, and Dassault Systèmes SOLIDWORKS. It is also natively integrated into Maxon Cinema 4D R19.
