Interest in Samsung Galaxy S23 Series runs high

Preorders for the Samsung Galaxy S23 Series increased against the Galaxy S22 Series, with interest in the Galaxy S23 Ultra exceeding expectations in Southeast Asia, Samsung Singapore has shared.

Globally, preorders for the previous year’s Galaxy S22 series had more than doubled that of the Galaxy S21 series within the first week. This year, preorder results were even higher, with 60% of consumers opting for the most premium Galaxy S23 Ultra.

“This year’s preorder numbers echo our customers’ strong trust in our brand and demonstrate how our commitment to groundbreaking innovation and sustainability continues to resonate with consumers.”

Led by the Galaxy S23 Ultra with its new 200MP Adaptive Pixel sensor and iconic embedded S Pen, the Galaxy S23 series — also featuring the Galaxy S23+ and Galaxy S23 — represents a new era of Samsung’s ultimate premium phone experience. The Galaxy S23 series features advanced cameras, the world’s fastest mobile graphics¹ thanks to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Mobile Platform for Galaxy, and a design that advances the company’s sustainability commitments with more components made using recycled materials than in any other Samsung Galaxy smartphone.²

The Samsung Galaxy S23 series also unlocks the next level of mobile security with Samsung Message Guard. This sandboxing tool preemptively protects against zero-click exploit attacks. This is a new kind of cyberattack where just receiving an image can compromise a device — even without the user’s interaction. Samsung Message Guard acts as a virtual quarantine, trapping harmful images and ensuring users only receive safe images.

The Galaxy S23 Series devices are further equipped with advanced processors and larger battery capacities. Other feature highlights include tough Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and an aircraft-grade Armour aluminium frame.

Samsung is also fielding a 3D billboard campaign to celebrate the launch of the Galaxy S23 series. The campaign highlights the design of the Galaxy S23 series inspired by the planet, with striking visuals. First kicking-off in Seoul, the campaign will roll out in other global cities around the world over the coming weeks.

In January, Samsung Electronics shared its vision for a calmer, connected world. Speaking during CES 2023, Jong-Hee (JH) Han, Vice Chairman, CEO and Head of the DX (Device eXperience) Division at Samsung Electronics, shared a focus on enabling better, more personal and more intuitive experiences. To do this, Samsung is focusing on seamlessly connecting devices and designing products to make the everyday use of technology more sustainable.
