Singapore office for Megaport by second half of 2014, key hires in place


Megaport will be opening of a Singapore office early in the second half of 2014 to further its vision to become the leading independent network interconnection provider in the Asia Pacific region. The Singapore office will host the company’s sales and project teams, with six people by the end of 2014 and a further 12 in 2015. 

The company announced two new hires in conjunction with this commitment. Sydney-based Belinda Flanders joins as Channel and Partner Manager for Asia, and will relocate to Singapore to coincide with the office opening. Michael Glynn has been appointed Strategic Sales Director for Asia and will be sharing his time between Australia and Singapore.

Flanders will be responsible for developing and driving Megaport’s channel strategy in Singapore, involving XaaS providers/networks/data centres and other industry participants and influencers. She will initially be based in Sydney to establish Megaport’s channel programme in Australia over the next six months, before relocating to Singapore to drive the channel programme throughout the region.


Prior to joining Megaport, she was the National Channel Manager - Carrier and Service Providers for NEXTDC, a Slattery venture. 

As Strategic Sales Director, Glynn will lead major and strategic sales opportunities throughout Asia Pacific, initially focused on Megaport’s fibre rollout in Singapore. Prior to joining the team, he was Senior Wholesale Account Manager for Vocus Communications. He has also held senior sales roles with PIPE Networks, which was co-founded by Slattery, as well as Pacnet and interTouch.
