Medlab series expands to Asia Pacific with Medlab Asia Pacific in Singapore

Billed as the largest medical laboratory event in Asia Pacific, the inaugural Medlab Asia Pacific will showcase laboratory technology and services in the region at over 3,000 sq ft of exhibition space at Singapore's Marina Bay Sands from 18 to 20 February 2014.

"Medlab Asia Pacific is organised in association with Scherago International and is an innovative laboratory exhibition and congress. We are confident that it will provide an opportunity for industry professionals practicing in the Asia Pacific region to learn about the latest advances in their applications in laboratory medicine as well as current and future industry trends," said Simon Page, Managing Director, Informa Life Sciences Exhibitions.

According to TriMark Publications, the Asia Pacific region will experience the fastest growth in in-vitro diagnostics* (IVD), accounting for 32% of the world market by 2017. The sold-out exhibition will showcase manufacturers and suppliers of all categories of medical laboratory products including disposable items, diagnostic equipment, hospital management, laboratory equipment, and biotechnology.

The co-located Congress will feature six continuing medical education (CME)-accredited conferences relating to laboratory management, clinical chemistry, haematology, anatomic pathology, microbiology, and molecular/advanced diagnostics. 

The Medlab series is organised by Informa Life Sciences Exhibitions, which also organises Arab Health and Medlab Middle East, and supported by the Academy of Medicine, Singapore.  

*IVD or in-vitro diagnostics refers to the field of medical testing. IVD equipment includes home pregnancy kits, blood glucose meters and test kits used in medical laboratories.
