Time dotcom, a telecoms and solutions provider based in Malaysia, is confident of growing in 2014 on the back of pent-up demand for quality high-speed data, global bandwidth and data warehousing services, the company said.
"Regionally, our prospects are exciting," said Afzal Abdul Rahim, Time's Chief Executive Officer, following its 17th Annual General Meeting. "The addition of the Asia-Africa-Europe-1 (AAE-1) submarine cable system to our stable means we can expect to see good long-term global bandwidth demand from this link to Europe via the Middle East."
Time was reported in mid April to have joined the consortium to build and maintain AAE-1, a high-capacity cable system linking Asia and Europe via the Middle East. "Our regionalisation plans are gaining momentum," Afzal added. "Not only will there be strong synergies from AAE-1 to our existing submarine cables, we fully expect to see a boost in revenues and earnings when they are completed."
