First looks at the Microsoft Surface Pro 3, Xbox One

Do what we want to do, anytime. This was the message that Microsoft Singapore conveyed for its Blog Better event in June, where bloggers got first looks at the Microsoft Surface Pro 3, the company's latest tablet incarnation, sneak peeks at the new Xbox One, and a demo of how Windows 8.1 works seamlessly across various Microsoft devices.

The Surface Pro 3 is available for pre-order from S$1,108 at authorised Singapore retailers Challenger, Newstead, and Harvey Norman from 4 July, and will be available before the end of August 2014.

Tan shows how he can sit and type with the Surface Pro 3 on his lap with the help of the third-generation kickstand, which has infinite angles, as well as a new magnetic fold in the Surface Pro Type Cover.

Andre Ngo, Technical Specialist, Windows Phone, Microsoft, showed how Windows Phone 8.1 promotes personal and work collaboration across multiple devices. Windows tablets, for example, can latch onto a Windows Phone WiFi network automatically, without requiring Internet sharing to be switched on via the phone. A Windows Phone's screen can also be displayed on the tablet, and phone keyboards now have the 'swipe' typing feature, which Microsoft calls Word Flow.

Hanson Yap, Interactive Entertainment Business Category Lead at Microsoft, Xbox One, noted that the Xbox One is coming to Singapore on September 23, priced from S$639.
