Isola moves APAC Technology Center from Singapore to Taiwan

Isola Group, which produces copper-clad laminates and dielectric prepreg materials used to fabricate advanced multilayer printed circuit boards (PCBs), has moved its Asia-Pacific Technology Center from Singapore to a new facility in Yangmei, Taiwan.

The company's manufacturing operations in Singapore and customer support are not affected, Isola said, while the centre in Taiwan will be open in the fourth quarter of 2014. The new Taiwan Technology Center will support the increased demand for Isola's high-speed digital materials and RF/microwave and millimeter wave substrates in the Asia-Pacific region, and is co-located with the company's flagship Advanced Engineered Dielectrics Manufacturing Center.

Isola's Technology Centers support the company's R&D and manufacturing activities, including electrical, thermal and mechanical characterisations of resin components and laminate materials used in the production of printed circuit boards. Isola also leverages the centres to offer advanced testing capabilities to the electronics industry.

"Relocating our Singapore Technology Center to our premier Taiwan facility better aligns our resources with our commitment to provide superior service to our Asia-Pacific customers," stated Matt LaRont, President of Isola Asia-Pacific. He added that the growth of the newest dielectric materials has been driven primarily by customers in Taiwan, Korea and mainland China.
