In addition to the enhanced public cloud support, the new Barracuda Web Application Firewall version 7.9 includes improved reporting and notification, increased application security, and a new infrastructure for templates. Barracuda recently announced virtual license portability, which offers customers the ability to transfer virtual solutions from a public cloud to their private cloud environment, or between public cloud services – at no additional cost. This new virtual license portability further simplifies an organisation's migration by enabling hybrid cloud deployments across private and public cloud environments.
Barracuda Web Application Firewall version 7.9 is available immediately at no additional charge to existing customers on the current hardware platform with an active Energize Updates subscription or with an active virtual appliance license. Barracuda Web Application Firewall pricing ranges from a list price* of US$4,999 to US$61,599 depending on model, with no per user fees.
The Barracuda Web Application Firewall for Microsoft Azure is available today in the Azure Gallery as part of the new Microsoft Azure Certified programme. The Bring Your Own License one-year subscriptions start at a list price* of US$5,199.According to Gartner, nearly 50% of large enterprises will likely have hybrid cloud deployments by the end of 2017.
