Organisers pleased with response to inaugural Mobile Game Asia

Global Mobile Game Confederation (GMGC), the organisers of the inaugural Mobile Game Asia, is pleased with their warm welcome, said Maxim de Wit, Senior Director of International, GMGC, during the conference on July 18.

Based in China, GMGC accelerates the mobile gaming industry both by helping Chinese companies penetrate overseas markets and by making it easier for foreign companies to enter the Chinese market, de Wit said. “It brings together developers, app stores, analytic companies, payment solution providers,” he elaborated.

The company is known for its two annual conferences, both of which are the largest events of their kind in China. The Global Mobile Game Congress, held every March in Beijinghad over 10,000 attendees from over 30 countries, with over 200 speakers over five tracks. The Global Mobile Game Developers' Conference, to be held in Chengdu this September, is expected to attract over 5,000 delegates from 20 countries, de Wit added.

De Wit revealed that the first Mobile Game Asia had received 500+ registrations* from 14 countries, almost 56% of which were from manager and director-level executives, and a further 22.4% from the C-suite.

The company offers membership services such as networking, match making, business delegations for its 180 members, and welcomes interested parties to join their circle.

*In a post-event email sent on August 5, the organisers reported that over 450 top talent from 14 countries showed up.
