APAC computer graphics has a CAGR of 10.7% through to 2019

The computer graphics market, which includes CAD/CAM, visualisation/simulation, digital video, modeling/simulation and imaging applications, is estimated to grow to US$32.68 billion in 2019 at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 6.97% from 2014 to 2019, says MarketsandMarkets in its Computer Graphics Market by Software (CAD/CAM, Visualization/Simulation, Digital video, Imaging, Modeling/Animation), Service (Consulting, Training & Support, Integration), End-User (Enterprise and SMB) - Worldwide Forecasts & Analysis (2014-2019) report

The company says smart mobile penetration, demand for graphics software in business processes, and the booming entertainment industry are behind the growth in the computer graphics market, while price sensitivity is hindering it. Opportunities will include 4D technology and a shift from proprietary software to cloud-based subscriptions.

North America is forecast to be the biggest market for computer graphics followed by Asia-Pacific (APAC) and Europe. The APAC region will experience the highest growth rate, growing at a CAGR of 10.7%, the company said.
