Lenovo has launched workstations, servers and a 'tiny-in-one' (TiO) in its final major product launch for 2014.

The new
ThinkStation P-Series workstations complement the fruits of Lenovo’s 2014 acquisition of IBM’s x86 server business, allowing Lenovo to offer a complete portfolio of end-to-end solutions to suit all enterprise computing needs, encompassing commercial PCs, servers, storage, networking and related software and services.

“A key component of our expansion strategy is to continue to add 'best of breed' partners to Lenovo's enterprise ecosystem. The Enterprise Business Group represents a key growth engine for Lenovo as we continue to push the limits of innovation to help small business through to enterprise customers improve productivity and reduce total cost of ownership,” said Jessie Quek, Country General Manager, Lenovo Singapore, who noted that the acquisition has concluded, and that former IBM staff have been welcomed into the Lenovo family.

“Building upon the advancements that we delivered in the recently launched P300 workstation, we listened to an extensive amount of customer feedback, and have crafted the newest additions to the P Series of ThinkStations to take users to new heights of performance, dependability and usability,” she added.

The Lenovo ThinkStation P500, P700 and P900 are professional-grade desktop workstations, with space-saving designs as well as energy-efficient features. The latest Intel Xeon processors provide computing horsepower, while NVIDIA Quadro graphics cards carry out the visualisation work.

The additions to the ThinkStation P Series were designed to live up to the high expectations for dependability and usability set by the P300, which was launched earlier this year. Swiber, an engineering, procurement, installation and construction services provider for the oil and gas industry that has offices in Asia Pacific, Middle East and Latin America, is a P300 customer.

“In an industry that allows no room for mistakes or delays, the ThinkStations have greatly increased productivity and proven themselves to be trustworthy tools, even for the most demanding tasks,” said Goh Lip Hiong, Senior IT Manager, Swiber.

Lenovo also launched the ThinkCentre Tiny-in-One (TiO) 23, a modular and secure desktop solution for businesses that features a built-in dock for all current ThinkCentre Tiny PCs, offering customisability and upgradability in a compact space. When the time comes to upgrade or service the system, users simply replace the old Tiny PC and are back at work in less than two minutes. The TiOs are already in use in enterprise environments in Singapore, primarily in banks and hospitals.

The Lenovo ThinkStation P500, P700 and P900 will start from S$1,100, S$2,500 and S$3,200 respectively. The ThinkCentre Tiny-in-One monitor has a starting price of S$449, and the ThinkCentre Tiny-in-One (bundled with the ThinkCentre M53) will start from S$749.
