Atos, Panasonic announce tech partnership for 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games

Tokyo-based Atos, the Japanese subsidiary of the French company, will jointly develop solutions for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games with Panasonic, both companies announced.

Both companies will work in close cooperation to accelerate the joint development of new AV and IT solutions aimed to support the Olympic Movement, starting with the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Under this agreement, Atos, a leader in information and communication technology services and Panasonic, an audio visual technology giant, will form various working groups to jointly develop and test AV security systems, as well as electronic visual display systems including digital signage to be placed in the stadiums and other facilities used during the Tokyo 2020 Games. Specifically, these working groups will address various themes such as the rollout of sophisticated multilingual digital displays.

Said Tatsuya Kamimura, Managing Director of Atos in Japan: "Atos brings to this partnership our wealth of experience with the International Olympic Committee as key technology provider and our track record for consistently delivering on an extraordinary scale for the Games and under scrutiny of the entire world. Together with Panasonic, we will rise to the occasion for Tokyo to create a new chapter in the history of the Games in 2020."
