Within Asia, Japan is the largest market, followed by China, where mobile game revenues are projected to exceed US$3 billion in 2014. Southeast Asia is expected to account for revenues of US$661 million in 2014, GMGC shared.

GMGC forecasts that emerging markets in Asia will be the next frontier for mobile gaming as smartphone penetration rises, particularly India and Indonesia.

GMGC's Global Mobile Game Congress will be held in Beijing from April 24 to 25 in 2015 while Mobile Game Asia is to be in Bangkok on January 23, 2015.
