Konica Minolta awarded top position in Quality Management Level Research by JUSE

Konica Minolta, has received top honours in the eighth edition of Quality Management Level Research* conducted by the Union of Japanese Scientists and Engineers (JUSE). JUSE conducts bi-annual surveys that quantify companies that demonstrate commitment to quality. More than 600 companies, mainly from manufacturing industries in Japan, are included in the research.

Konica Minolta received the highest ranking in the assessments of "customer centricity" and "capability to take good system into other parts of the company". These are part of a set of six factors* to evaluate systematic programmes toward quality improvement and the status of ongoing activities.
The company was also among the top three in the assessment of "development of human resources to execute quality management" and "management of security, safety and trust."

"We are pleased to be accorded the top position in Quality Management Level Research. This validates our approach to quality management and as a customer-centric global organisation," said Jonathan Yeo, GM, Konica Minolta Business Solutions Asia.

*Quality Management Level Research offers an independent evaluation of quality management in Japan. Six factors are scored and totalled for the overall ranking. This year, 602 businesses including major manufacturing, building and software companies participated in the survey in July and August 2014. The six factors are: top management commitment; development of human resources to execute quality management; management of security, safety and trust; establishment and abidance of process; customer centricity; and capability to take a good system to other parts of the company.
