Searches for 'iPhone' are top tech search for Yahoo Singapore in 2014

Yahoo Singapore has announced its 2014 Year in Review (YIR)*, an annual recap of the top search trends, happenings and events which grabbed the attention of Yahoo users in Singapore. YIR is based on what users searched for through the year, and an editorial selection of what was most read, recommended and shared on Yahoo in 2014.

6 and iPhone 6 Plus.

The iPhone 6 made it to #2 of the Top 10 Searches of the Year, but was the only tech-related search. In the most popular news events for Singapore, the Mobile Air saga - which involved the attempted sale of a new iPhone - made it to no. 10. Jover Chew, owner of the Mobile Air store, was the no. 2 newsmaker for the year.

It should come as no surprise that the highly anticipated iPhone 6 was the most searched tech device in Singapore this year. Three other Apple products appear in the top 10 gadget searches, including iPhone 5C, iPad Air 2 and iPhone 6 plus. Samsung clocked in with two Galaxy devices.
