Johnson & Johnson hunting data scientists for Analytics Hub

Johnson & Johnson will establish a new Analytics Hub in collaboration with The Economic Development Board of Singapore (EDB) for its regional operations in Singapore, creating more than 30 new high tech healthcare jobs in the process.

Bhavesh Shah, Johnson & Johnson One Southeast Asia and Global Process Owner, Financial Planning and Analytics, said, "We hope that this hub will continue to enhance Singapore's reputation both as a global business centre and Asia Pacific's global data management centre, and add to the expanding base of analytics talent in the country."

Through this project, the company aims to develop cutting-edge analytical assets by using data from its internal information along with external data sets. This knowledge can be adopted in various areas such as revenue and profitability optimisation; go-to-market; and real time analytics with customers to help drive business outcomes.
Kevin Lai, Executive Director (Biomedical Sciences and Consumer Businesses), Singapore Economic Development Board said, "Singapore is the natural location where companies can make use of our talent, research capabilities and infrastructure to develop applied analytics."

Recruitment for these highly skilled technology positions has already begun, and the positions are expected to be filled over the next 12 to 18 months.
