Technavio says the global mobile hotspot router market is expected to grow at a CAGR of 21.12% from 2014 to 2019, driven by demand for broadband and mobility and more ubiquitous LTE (4G) services.
Faisal Ghaus, Vice President of Technavio, said that prices of mobile hotspot devices are expected to fall in the next few years. "An increase in need for broadband is expected to drive the growth of the market during the forecast period. The numbers for broadband users are increasing in step with the adoption of electronic devices connected to the Internet,” he said.
“It is expected that device prices will reduce further during the forecast period and the market will witness significant spikes in device uptake, both on a contract basis as well as at full retail prices.”
