CloudFX Group has signed a MoU with Malaysia's Multimedia Development Corporation (MDeC) to accelerate the development of a cloud ecosystem with Malaysia's independent software vendors (ISVs) and data centre providers that will provide cloud services globally.
The MalaysiaOneCloud cloud service marketplace will initially offer over 50 fully automated cloud services and then scale to more than 300 service offerings within the first 12 months enabling customers to consume "anything as a service" - including underlying IT infrastructure, application development platforms and fully configured Malaysian business software applications. It is expected to ensure low integration cost and easy on-boarding
for local ISVs, and provide a revenue sharing model to reduce the cost of cloud
service on-boarding.
The CloudSelect platform to power MalaysiaOneCloud is built, operated and managed by CloudFX, which will also provide value-added services based on compliance, configuration, performance monitoring, capacity management, security and availability, full stack provisioning and change management to ensure all Malaysian enterprise ICT and cloud services requirements are met.
"Under the MSC Malaysia Cloud Initiative, MDeC works and collaborate with strategic industry partners to enable and drive the cloud computing ecosystem. Today, MDeC is proud to foster this collaboration with CloudFX which will drive better adoption, integration and accelerate market growth of cloud SaaS solutions from local cloud SaaS providers," said Ng Wang Peng, Chief Operating Officer of MDeC.
"This collaboration will aggregate cloud computing offerings from all ISVs and existing technology partners into a unified brokerage platform and cloud marketplace, and also provide regional and global cloud marketplace presence for ISVs, which will translate into higher sales potential and opportunity."
"We've built CloudSelect from the ground up to meet the needs of both enterprise cloud customers and cloud service providers (CSPs), enabling them to successfully accelerate cloud adoption and transformation, as well as to differentiate and deliver value added services. Featuring integrated cloud services automated and services management capabilities, our cloud procurement and management solution is already helping many enterprises and cloud service providers around the globe achieve success with their cloud offerings," said CloudFX Group Founder and CEO Damian Crotty.
Crotty added that the MalaysiaOneCloud is the first platform in the region which brings together the benefits of traditional IT management - operational excellence, service automation and service delivery models - merged with the dynamic potential of Malaysian based cloud architectures and application services, directly to Malaysian customers.
