Resellers had to log in to individual servers to manage their resources and configure the security settings, and manually migrate their customers from one server or operating system to another. This was inefficient and tied up a great deal of manpower to service current customers.
To provide resellers with enhanced account management capabilities and enable them to manage all the sites from a single dashboard or remotely through a mobile app, ZNetLive decided to offer Plesk 12 as their default control panel. Plesk is designed to help with the management of web, domain name server, mail and other services through a comprehensive and user-friendly interface.
The Plesk 12 deployment has enabled its reseller partners to become more profitable in an increasingly-competitive cloud space through:
· Greater flexibility for resellers to manage their own end-customers without ZNetLive’s support;
· Complete access to account management capabilities;
· Quicker server and platform migration; and
· Enhanced visibility over IT resources.
The deployment of Plesk has also resulted in more efficient use of human resources. “By automating many of the tasks involved in managing a hosting environment, Plesk has enabled our resellers to reduce manpower requirements by about 50%," said Dubey. “This has enabled them to maximise manpower efficiency by deploying them to higher-value tasks within the company.”
