Dassault Systèmes' 3DExperience Forum in Singapore, themed Business in the Age of Experience, is about taking control of new technologies to innovate in Southeast Asia.
"It's about how you can create knowledge-based manufacturing, how you can create a workforce that is skilled enough to work on digital data," Samson Khaou, MD, Asia Pacific South, Dassault Systèmes said, noting that Southeast Asia can compete with China on manufacturing, but through expertise, not price.
"We need to build a skilled workforce to face the challenge of manufacturing - more automation, more connected factories, and how you can make those connected factories leverage on the skill of the workforce, that's the theme of this conference."

Sylvain Laurent, Executive VP, Global Field Operations (Asia), Worldwide Business Transformation, Dassault Systèmes, shared that it now the digital age, where businesses and individuals can get the right information at the right time, validate that information, and benefit the public.
Laurent emphasised that the 3DExperience City project Virtual Singapore has garnered much interest around the world. "How do we bring value to the citizen, for the future? Singapore is a reference worldwide," he said.
Pierre Marchadier, Vice President, Corporate Communications & Global Events, Dassault Systèmes, noted that Virtual Singapore showcases the new level of complexity that is now possible today. "Dassault Systèmes offers a single platform to integrate all the data, to deliver a single source of truth, to (simulate) many situations," he said.
Khaou concurred. "It's about how you can help the municipality, the government to develop livable townships, cities, how you need to take into account the constraints in the way you plan the city," he said.
