Computex Taipei d&i awards 2016 open for submissions

COMPUTEX TAIPEI show organiser TAITRA has announced that registration for the COMPUTEX d&i awards is open until March 31, 2016.
TAITRA has collaborated with the International Forum Design (iF) from Germany to present the COMPUTEX d&i awards, an index of ICT excellence.

On top of the seven existing categories—gaming hardware; network + communication Products; computers + systems; computer Hardware + components; data Storage Products; displays + audio/Video; Peripherals + accessories—the 2016 awards have added two new categories, wearable technology + smart Applications/products and Smart Home + security. There is also a COMPUTEX d&i Rising Star award to encourage participation from startups.

The award winners will be announced at the COMPUTEX opening ceremony as means to increase exposure for the winning companies, particularly the startups, and help them find investors and establish partnerships. Award winners are judged on nine criteria that include aesthetics, innovation, practicality, and brand marketing. The winning products are showcased at the COMPUTEX d&i awards display at COMPUTEX and other major ICT shows around the world.

The 36th edition of the global professional ICT trade show COMPUTEX TAIPEI will take place from May 31 to June 4, 2016 in Taipei, Taiwan at TWTC Exhibition Halls 1 and 3, Nangang Exhibition Hall 1, and the Taipei International Conference Center (TICC).

The 2016 theme is Building Partnerships in Internet Computing Ecosystems, focusing on Internet of Things (IoT) applications, innovation and startups, and business solutions. In order to highlight IoT applications and startups, COMPUTEX has created two new exhibits, SmarTEX and InnoVEX.
