VisionChina offers free Wi-Fi on buses in Hangzhou

VisionChina Media, China's out-of-home digital television advertising network on mass transportation systems and a provider of urban mass transit Wi-Fi, has deployed 3,000 on-bus Wi-Fi hotspots in Hangzhou City, the provincial capital of Zhejiang.

The company provides free Wi-Fi Internet services on over 30,000 buses under the VIFI brand, with approximately 10 million registered users. Subscribed commuters are able to access content provided by the VIFI platform, including news, music, video and app downloading, as well as Web browsing and communication capabilities via social media platforms including WeChat, Weibo and QQ. VIFI enables up to 60 users on each bus to surf the Internet at the same time with a fast downloading speed and smooth Internet experience.

Limin Li, VisionChina Media's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, commented, "We are pleased to announce the recent implementation of our Wi-Fi services in Hangzhou City, which further strengthens our leading position in China's urban mass transit Wi-Fi market and demonstrates our ability to deliver targeted content and an exceptional user experience. We intend to continue to deploy on-bus Wi-Fi hotspots in more provincial capitals and other major cities across China."
