Acronis CEO to deliver talk at NUS on the Smart Nation and backing up to the future

Serguei Beloussov, co-founder, CEO and chairman of the board of Acronis, will be delivering titled Smart Nation: Backup to the Future at the National University of Singapore (NUS).

Co-sponsored by Acronis, a data protection firm and the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA), the talk will cover the challenges resulting from the explosion of data in the digital age, which is likely to reach 44 zettabytes in 2020 according to IDC. Beloussov will also discuss what needs to be done now in order to enjoy the digital-life benefits in the future.

Beloussov is also the senior founding partner of Runa Capital, a technology investment firm. He is additionally Executive Chairman of the board and Chief Architect of Parallels, and sits on the governing board of the Centre for Quantum Technologies in Singapore.

Beloussov is a self-made entrepreneur and business executive with an outstanding 21-year track record in building, growing and leading high-performing, multi-national high tech companies in Asia, North America and Europe. Noted as an innovator and a thought leader in virtualisation, datacentre automation, and cloud computing space, Beloussov has co-authored over 200 US technology patents, with 80+ issued.
