ALE names Gerard Sillars as VP of Sales for APAC

ALE, operating under the Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise brand, today announced the appointment of Gerard Sillars as the company’s new Vice President of Sales for Asia-Pacific (APAC). Sillars replaces Matthieu Destot, who was recently appointed as Executive Vice President of the Communications Division and President of ALE International. Sillars is part of the Global Sales and Marketing Leadership team, and will report to Jan Zuurbier, Executive Vice President, Global Sales & Marketing, ALE.

With immediate effect, Sillars will manage all sales operations across the region – Australia, New Zealand, Korea, Japan, India and the markets in ASEAN, including Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam and Philippines. He will lead a team ranging from sales consultants, to support, technical and product management specialists.

Prior to joining ALE, Sillars held several senior leadership positions at CommVault Systems, where he spent 13 years. Eleven of those years were spent launching, building and growing CommVault’s business in the APAC region. In his most recent role as the Worldwide Vice President for CommVault’s Cloud Solutions Group, Sillars led the businesses to significant double digit revenue growth.
