Singapore and Malaysia will be signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on 19 February to formalise the two countries’ cooperation in the field of information and communications, the Ministry of Communications & Information in Singapore has announced. The MoU will be signed by Dr Yaacob Ibrahim, Minister for Communications and Information, Singapore, and Dr Salleh Said Keruak, Minister of Communications and Multimedia, during Dr Yaacob’s visit to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where both he and Dr Salleh are guests of honour at the 10th Muzika Ekstravaganza (Muzika).

The MoU will cover cooperation in areas such as television and film productions, exchange of news, information technology and postal services. It will foster continued regular exchanges between officials, broadcasters and artistes from both countries.
