The Singapore Computer Society (SCS), the nation’s largest body for infocomm professionals, today announced that the 20th annual IT Leader Awards will be held on 4 March 2016 at the Shangri-La Hotel. The IT Leader Awards 2016 will celebrate the significant achievements and contributions of outstanding individuals in Singapore’s infocomm and digital media industries.
This year’s Singapore Computer Society Gala Dinner & IT Leader Awards will be graced by Dr Yaacob Ibrahim, Minister of Communications and Information and attended by over 1,000 infocomm professionals and representatives from across government and private sectors.
“Singapore is a vibrant hub of IT and infocomm development, and the IT Leader Awards celebrate the achievements of our industry leadership. With these awards, we are honouring noteworthy IT luminaries who serve as inspirations and role models for Singapore’s younger generation of IT professionals,” said Howie Lau, President of Singapore Computer Society.
Singapore Computer Society’s annual IT Leader Awards were established in 1997. Past winners have included Tan Tong Hai, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Executive Director of StarHub, Rosina Howe, Group Director, Innovation and InfoComm Technology of the Land Transport Authority of Singapore (LTA) and Yong Ying-I, Chairman of IDA.
This year, seven distinguished individuals will be recognised under the IT Leader of the Year Hall of Fame Professional of the Year, Entrepreneur of the Year (two award winners) and IT Youth (two award winners) categories.
