Cloudera announces Asia Pacific and Middle East 2016 Cloudera Sessions

Cloudera, the global provider of data management and analytics platforms built on Apache Hadoop and the latest open source technologies, has announced the dates and locations for the 2016 Cloudera Sessions. Now in its fourth year running, the Cloudera Sessions will go to over 35 cities around the world, including 12 locations in the Asia Pacific region.

One of the objectives for the Sessions is to help organisations determine a logical, value-driven path towards data platform modernisation, leveraging open source Apache Hadoop based software. This year, the sessions carry the theme Taking the Risk out of Business, and will include tracks for business and IT decision makers along with analytics experts and developers. The sessions will also carry content that is useful for professionals who are looking to adopt big data technologies for the first time, as well as existing users who are determined to best leverage the Hadoop platform.

Keynotes include senior Cloudera executives:

· Doug Cutting - Chief Architect, Cloudera

· Clarke Patterson - Senior Director, Product Marketing, Cloudera

Each event will also feature speakers from Cloudera partner organisations like Intel, Hewlett-Packard Enterprise (HPE), SAS and Talend, as well as end users who will share information on production use cases, best practices, and lessons learned in the field.

“The tremendous growth of the Cloudera Sessions roadshow over the past four years - expanding from a handful of US events in 2012 to the global programme it is today - signifies just how pervasive the adoption of big data technologies has become,” said Alan Saldich, VP, Marketing, Cloudera. “Bootstrapped startups and Fortune 10 enterprises alike are benefiting from modern data platforms based on Hadoop to derive the most value from all their data in a cost-efficient way. We’re honored to be trusted as advisors who can help guide users and organisations on their paths to success, whether they’re just getting started or are looking for the next best solution that can be powered by these open source technologies.”
