LINE, the global lifestyle platform, has won an iF Design Award in the Communication discipline for the LINE Friends Corporate Identity at the IF Design Awards 2016.
One of the most prestigious design competitions in the world, the iF Design Awards welcomes over 5,000 submissions from 70 countries every year*. Organised by Germany’s International Forum of Design GmbH, the iF Design Award recognises excellent design in seven categories which include Product, Packaging and Communication. Out of the 5,000 iF Design Award submissions, only 75 receive iF Gold Awards.
LINE Friends Corporate Identity
LINE Friends is a character brand that started out as emoticons for mobile messaging app LINE, which is used by 200 million users worldwide. To capture the spirit and individuality of the company’s identity, LINE Friends introduced its business plans and company outlook using nine popular LINE Friends characters as main design elements to distinctly communicate the brand identity.This is the second iF Design Award win for LINE – in 2014, LINE won in the Product discipline for its new employee ID card cases which were introduced as part of its brand revamp.
The company’s LINE CafĂ© packaging received an iF Gold Award in the Food and Beverage (F&B) Packaging discipline.
