Singtel has collaborated with local film maker Boo Junfeng on a short story about a long distance relationship. Goodbye, Hello tells a modern day love story of John and Emily and how they use technology to stay connected.

“When I was first presented with this idea, I thought it was quite interesting because I’ve been in a long distance relationship…a lot of it is in appreciating that there is a distance and we need to accept that. Whenever we are together and or when we are connected, that space becomes very special," said Boo. "For anyone who has been in a relationship or ever tried being in one, I hope it speaks to you and hope you enjoy the film.”

Goodbye, Hello also features a classic local indie hit by SerenaideThe Girl from Katong. Shakir (drums), Eugene (keyboards), Remy (guitars, vox), Pheyroz (vox, guitars), Mimi (bass guitars) and Natalie (violins) also spoke to Singtel about the song.

"There was this girl…we took a bus home and I thought I wouldn’t see her after that. So I wrote this song to remind me of the lights that I see while we were on the bus riding through Katong. It got sort of well-received because of the familiarity with the place and it invokes that homely feeling,” Remy explained.
