LINE to list in the TSE, NYSE

The Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) has approved a new listing of shares of common stock of LINE Corporation. LINE is also proposing an initial public offering (IPO) in the US in connection with a new listing of American depository shares (ADSs) representing shares of its common stock on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE).

LINE wants to go public in both Japan and the US to further enhance its strong position in Asia and to continue a more active global expansion.

LINE expects the listing of its ADSs on the NYSE to occur on or around July 14, 2016 (EST) and the listing of its shares on the TSE to occur on or around July 15, 2016 (JST), subject to approvals by relevant authorities, the declaration of effectiveness of the registration statement by the Securities Exchange Corporation (SEC) and the completion of other necessary procedures, as well as market conditions.
