Subscribe to BlackBerry enterprise mobile management through M1

- M1 is the first carrier in Southeast Asia to offer BES12 Cloud for new and re-contracting M1 business mobile customers at no extra cost
- Upgrades available on monthly subscription model, with no annual minimum commitment

BlackBerry, a mobile communications provider, and Singapore communications company M1, have announced that new and recontracting M1 mobile business customers can have BES12 Cloud, a cross-platform EMM solution by BlackBerry, bundled for free* with new or renewed monthly plans.

M1 is the first carrier in Southeast Asia to launch BlackBerry’s Enhanced SIM-Based Licensing (ESBL), simplifying the way corporates deploy and use enterprise mobility management (EMM) solutions. The cloud-based BES12 is built on BlackBerry’s trusted network and offers multi-OS support managed through a single console. It enables organisations to remotely provision employees with corporate applications, assign appropriate usage rights, and secure their devices against unauthorised use.

M1 is also offering customers upgrades that include advanced EMM features on the monthly subscription model. This provides access to BES12 features such as secure mobile connectivity, secure applications and content that is separated for work and personal use on a pay-as-you-go basis. Charges are reflected in the customers’ monthly mobile business plans.

Willis Sim, Chief Product Development and Corporate Solutions Officer, M1 says, “M1 is pleased to be the first in Southeast Asia to bring the benefits of BES12 to customers with easy deployment through Cloud. This partnership with BlackBerry simplifies the way customers buy and use mobility, driving efficiencies and ultimately helps businesses enhance the way they service their own customers.”

Carl Wiese, President Global Sales, BlackBerry says, “As the leading global EMM provider, BlackBerry is always working with our partners to drive additional value and help them to deliver a better experience for customers. With BES12, BlackBerry is uniquely positioned to combine an operator’s device and data billing with customers’ consumption of additional services.”

*The BES12 EMM Silver value-added service (VAS) will be bundled at no extra cost with all M1 business mobile plans with minimum contractual period of 24 months, only applicable to new or re-contracting customers. Customers purchasing more advanced EMM licenses will pay on a monthly basis.
