Chidiac will lead the next phase of Avaya's transformation into a software and services company, overseeing the execution of Avaya’s global strategy in the A/NZ region. He will deliver Avaya’s customer-first culture and drive his team to continue helping customers achieve their digital transformation goals with Avaya’s technology. This will include the continued provision of high-value support and services from Avaya and its partners.
Chidiac joins Avaya with more than 20 years’ experience in senior leadership and executive roles at IT organisations in the telecommunications and service provider markets. He most recently headed the local operations for mobile network operator Truphone as MD, A/NZ. Before that he was Chief Executive Officer at Veridian Solutions. This role was preceded by a 12-year stint at Nuance Communications, where he held several senior positions, including that of MD, A/NZ.
“Over the last 12 months Avaya identified key changes that needed to be made in A/NZ to deliver true digital transformations to our customers. Having executed on these, we now hand over to Peter to carry that success into the next year and beyond. Peter has been at the forefront of the digital shift and his experience places Avaya A/NZ in an ideal position to maintain its leadership in contextual communications solutions,” said Nidal Abou-Ltaif, President, Avaya International.
“The continued proliferation of technology advents such as the Internet of Things, mobility and cloud computing have pressed organisations in A/NZ to transform their communications capabilities. Today, businesses need to combine rigid networking and effective team collaboration with completely integrated omnichannel experiences so that they can deliver services on customers’ terms. My focus at Avaya will be to engage in these conversations so that, with our support, our customers can expand their businesses and secure brand loyalty with the right technology solutions,” said Chidiac.
