Epson, which has been the world’s top projector brand for 15 years, has unveiled its first EB-L1000 series 3LCD lamp-free laser light source projectors. Designed for large venues, the EB-L1000 series projectors are the first worldwide to integrate inorganic 3LCD panels with an inorganic phosphor wheel to achieve enhanced image quality, reliability and durability.

The EB-L1000 series projectors’ new lamp-free laser light source with 3LCD technology are capable of reproducing images with outstanding levels of colour brightness for extremely long periods, delivering up to 20,000 hours of maintenance free use. The projectors come with nine lenses including the world’s first zero-offset ultra-short throw lens, the ELPLX01, providing maximum flexibility and enabling the projectors to be installed in tight conditions where available space is at a premium.

Designed to operate 24x7, the EB-L1000 series are ideal for applications requiring continuous projection including command centres, storefronts, museums, digital signage and more. With a laser light source, the projectors reach maximum brightness without the need to warm up first.

“Epson has spent more than 15 years working to extend the durability of the projectors, to deliver projectors that achieve new levels of brightness and reliability. The new EB-L1000 series of laser light source projectors underscores our commitment to the laser and high brightness projector market, and cements Epson’s position as the number one projector brand worldwide for 15 years running,” said Tan May Lin, Epson Singapore’s General Manager (Sales, Marketing & Customer Service Division).

Highlights of the launch included:

· The built-in EB-L1405U camera detecting subtle colour inconsistencies and screens that have become unevenly coloured over time, enabling automatic colour and image calibration

· The Epson EB-L1100U lamp-free laser projector with 6,000 lumens white and colour light output produced high-definition images with 4K enhancement technology and colour accuracy. Pixel scaling technology shifts each pixel diagonally by 0.5 pixels to double the resolution to 3,840 x 2,160, surpassing full HD quality.

· Portrait projection with the new EB-G7905U (7,000 lumens colour and white light output) high brightness projector, launched in June 2016. The new range of Epson EB-L1000 series lamp-free laser and EB-G7000 series projectors can be rotated 360° in any direction without any loss in image brightness.

The Epson EB-L1000 series also support seamless projection on surfaces with features such as edgeblending, curve projection, corner wall projection, and point correction.

“With this launch, we have become one of the few projector brands in the world that are able to offer a comprehensive lineup, consisting of both lamp and lamp-free projectors, powered by our 3LCD technology. We are definitely committed to further improve our range. We look forward to excite the market with more innovation, and we aim to grow our strengths in the mid and large venue market segments," said Tan.

"At the later part of this year, we will be launching our 12,000 and 25,000 lumens laser projectors. This launch is really the start of an exciting journey for all of us in Epson as well as for our end users and business partners.”
