TV experience with unique content to underpin LeEco go-to-market strategy

LeEco, the global Internet and ecosystem conglomerate, plans to shake up the Indian TV market through their recently-launched SuperTVs: Super3 MAX65, Super3 X65 and Super3 X55.

According to LeEco, the business model will be similar to how it sells smartphones. It offered premium Superphones at disruptive prices and plans to do the same for the SuperTVs, earning instead on unique content. The 55" Super3 X55, will be available for Rs59,790*, LeEco 65" Super3 X65 is priced at Rs99,790* and the 65" Super3 Max65 will come at Rs149,790. All three Super TVs come with two years of membership, a benefit only available for India for now.

LeEco offers breakthrough experiences through an open, integrated ecosystem enabled by its Internet and cloud platform. At the heart of these TVs is the eUI5.5 user interface. The Ecosystem UI brings with it the option of customisation, displaying different apps depending on the frequency of use. The TVs are equipped with LeEco's self-developed content-viewing apps such as Levidi, LIVE, LeView along with other tailor-made apps like Panosearch. With the Super TV, users will also get access to about 2,000 Full HD/HD films from Hollywood and Bollywood, more than 100 satellite TV channels, 3.5 million songs (coming soon by software upgrade), and more than 50 live concerts. Popular games too will be soon be available.

All the three SuperTVs from LeEco come with 4K, 8.29 million pixels in a 3,840 x 2,160 resolution. With as many as 14 core display technologies, including state-of-the-art ones, SuperTVs ensure fast decoding and clear viewing. The flagship Super3 Max65 in particular features polarised 3D to eliminate major discomforts associated with 3D content viewing such as blurring and dizziness. All the three Super TVs are also equipped with Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus, and DTS-HD premium sound technologies.

Included with the TVs is the Super Remote 3, which comes with four-directional navigation buttons. This gyro sensor remote can also be used as an air mouse or gamepad to control multiple devices connected to the TV screen.

While one year is the industry standard for a new television warranty, LeEco is offering double of that on its Super3 Series, which come with double the warranty period. As the most critical and expensive component is the panel, the LeEco Super3 Series currently carries a two-year additional warranty on the panel to cover it for four years, against the industry standard of up to two years.
