| Grothjan explains the rationale behind the new programme. |
Aruba has announced the Partner Ready for Networking programme at APAC Atmosphere 2016 in Singapore. The programme leverages the new Aruba Mobile First Platform and enables partners to be more competitive in a rapidly-changing mobility networking market. With the new programme, partners will significantly improve their competitive position while maximising their revenue opportunities with a more predictable revenue stream, Aruba said.
Donna Grothjan, Vice President, Worldwide Channels, Aruba explained that existing programmes would have required channel partners to achieve results in fields such as servers, storage in addition to mobility to obtain platinum status, whereas the new programme allows partners to focus on mobility alone. "For those partners who just focus on mobility we wanted to make sure we have a programme for them," said Grothjan.
The core principles of the new programme include a mobile-first advantage, predictable profitability and making it easier to do business. Live on November 1, the new programme takes the best elements of the previous Aruba PartnerEdge and HPE Partner Ready programmes to create a new programme that enables partners to capitalise on the enterprise mobility market opportunity. The programme offers enriched back-end incentives for specialised networking expertise.
The new Partner Ready for Networking programme delivers predictable profitability via deal protection and a simple structure that makes it easy to calculate deal profitability at the front- and back-end. Channel partners benefit from expanded revenue opportunities as they are rewarded for specialisations in cross-selling and up-selling both wireless and wired solutions. Partners also have the opportunity to increase margins for expertise in recognised mobility competencies. The ability to sell extensive services, including managed services such as Aruba Central will further enhance partner margins and enable them to attain trusted advisor status with their customers.
The Partner Ready for Networking Program offers a dedicated partner portal, streamlined one-page deal registration with simplified approval process, easy-to-understand programme requirements with a single point of contact, plus planned marketing development fund and lead generation tools and services.
