EPI has awarded Taiwan's largest telecommunications company, Chunghwa Telecom Company (CHT) the ANSI/TIA-942:2014 conformity certification for the design of a data centre. CHT's data centre is the first in Taiwan to achieve this quality certificate.
The CHT building is the largest and most technologically-advanced data centre in Taiwan, and has a total floor area of 92,600 sq m hosting 4,368 racks. The final fit-out of the data centre is in full swing and the facilities certification is scheduled to be completed by the end of this year.
"The team at CHT and their contractors showed great professionalism and commitment to ensure that all design requirements of the ANSI/TIA-942 standard were diligently implemented. It's a delight working with such a quality-oriented organisation and we are extremely confident that they will pass the final constructed facilities audit with flying colours," said Edward van Leent, Chairman & CEO of the EPI Group of Companies. "The completeness and transparency of the ANSI/TIA-942 standard provides an excellent quality reference point and it is no surprise that more and more organisations are choosing the ANSI/TIA-942 over traditional guidelines once they do their research and understand the value of the ANSI/TIA-942 standard."
