Acronis, a global hybrid cloud data protection and storage provider, will continue to support the Scuderia Toro Rosso Formula One team in 2017 as it puts its fastest and the most innovative racing car, STR12, through its paces at the Formula One season beginning with the Australian Grand Prix this weekend.

The partnership between the two companies began in July 2016 at the Hungarian Grand Prix, where Scuderia Toro Rosso became a launch partner of Acronis Backup 12. The product has delivered over 40% growth in adoption over the last eight months. Acronis Backup 12 is the most complete data protection solution available to small businesses today, supporting 16 different platforms, protecting all business data — servers, workstations, virtual machines and public cloud workloads such as Microsoft Office 365.
An extended version of this product, Acronis Backup 12 Advanced, is scheduled for release in Q217. The new edition will support advanced features, including Acronis Active Protection against ransomware, Acronis Notary blockchain-based data verification, Acronis ASign Blockchain-based document signing, storage area network (SAN) storage snapshots, smart alerting and reporting, roles and delegation capability, and off-host backup processing.
Acronis Backup Cloud is the world’s only backup solution specifically designed for service providers. This week Acronis announced the addition of Plesk, cPanel, and website backup functionality, making it the most complete hybrid cloud backup-as-a-service platform available to service providers today.
The Acronis Backup Cloud business is growing faster than the 18% public cloud services market growth rate forecast by Gartner for 2017: more than 15,000 devices were added in the last 30 days alone; over 100% year-on-year (YoY) growth in bookings, and sevenfold YoY growth in cloud storage.
The Acronis Storage universal software-defined storage solution for cold and hot data rounds or the Acronis portfolio. Acronis Storage provides easy management and data storage reliability for backup, file sync and share, and for any other application data. ESG Lab has validated Acronis Storage to be up to 20x faster than the competition and as much as one-sixth of the cost of either traditional in-house storage or public cloud storage.
