Cloud system allows Malaysians to feel safer in their own homes

TimeTec Cloud, the cloud workforce management solutions provider, has launched i-Neighbour, a cloud based residential and visitor management system running on AWS storage and servers.

“The future is moving towards the Internet of Things (IoT), and i-Neighbour will be able to integrate seamlessly, ” said Teh Hon Seng, Founder and CEO of TimeTec Cloud Group.

The solution aims to disrupt the visitor registration methods that are common for gated communities - the manual registration of visitor details at security counters, owners who are slow to respond to requests to let their guests in, or the need to leave identification documents with strangers.

TimeTec Cloud believes that the residents should always be fully aware of their environment at all times, and have the power to control who goes in and out of their compound. The i-Neighbour platform allows guests to apply for visits online, and residents to approve them, all by smartphone. Preapproved guests receive a QR code that gives them immediate access to the resident for a limited period of time, while unwelcome guests are blacklisted. Residents do not even have to be at home to give access to guests. Reminders can even be sent about the visit.

Visitors can access i-Neighbour for free via any web browser (PC or Mac) or through the i- Neighbour mobile app available on the App Store or Google Play.  Users and neighbourhoods can subscribe from RM2 per month, per household.
