Cloud-based web application firewall (WAF) service provider Cloudbric has partnered with India's leading web hosting and domain name service provider MahaBharta WebServices to protect organisations in the country from web threats. The partnership coincides with the launch of a major Internet data centre (IDC) in Chandigarh, India and introduce Cloudbric's web security including its WAF to web hosting providers and end users in India.
A WAF analyses all network traffic, a practice that is especially critical to data centres. Cloudbric utilises a logic-based detection engine which has proven capable of detecting and blocking web attacks with a higher accuracy and precision than similar WAF services.
Cloudbric's technology identifies malicious activity by using 26 preset security policies that intelligently filter network traffic, blocking both unknown and known web attacks. This means that hosting providers will be able to deliver security services faster and more affordably. According to Cloudbric, end users will also enjoy smoother web security service especially if they are serving their websites from the South Asian region.
"Both hosting providers and end users alike no longer have to choose between security and performance," stated TJ Jung, VP of Product & Technology for Cloudbric. "This partnership will allow Indian web hosting providers to provide elite security much more conveniently, ensuring top performance and full security is a top priority for all websites. The cybersecurity threats in India and the South Asian region are mounting, making it critical to spread security that is affordable to a wide range of users. Cloudbric's affordable and trusted web security offering coupled with quality customer service makes that possible."
"With cyber-attacks and internet threats increasing, security is going to be paramount for every business as they move their brick and mortar businesses online. This partnership with Cloudbric will help MahaBharta to provide a high level of security to the businesses with sensitive data," says Amrit Bains, CEO at MahaBharta WebServices.
As a growing worldwide service, Cloudbric has plans to expand its global infrastructure to extend its security offering to more users with minimal speed loss and reduced costs. Cloudbric has plans to open ten additional IDCs in the latter part of Q217.
