BlackBerry introduces first platinum partner and authorised training partner in SEA

BlackBerry has announced that IT solutions provider Stone Forest IT (SFIT) is its first BlackBerry Platinum partner and Authorised Training Partner in Southeast Asia.

Recognised in the highest tier of BlackBerry’s Global Enterprise Partner Program, SFIT was awarded its platinum status based on its in-depth technology skills and expertise in delivering BlackBerry’s suite of enterprise mobility solutions.

The news follows updates to BlackBerry’s Enterprise Portfolio, which is creating even more opportunities for BlackBerry Partners that support and sell the company’s software solutions.

Paul Crighton, VP BlackBerry, Asia Pacific and Japan says, “We have been very focused on growing our business  and creating opportunity for our partners in the Southeast Asia region. With recent instances of high-profile malware attacks impacting major infrastructure like hospitals, security is top of mind for organisations around the world. BlackBerry is leading the charge to help secure the entire enterprise from endpoint to endpoint and businesses in Southeast Asia that choose BlackBerry Secure solutions to keep their information and people safe can be assured of the highest-quality support, systems integration, technical and advanced sales from our new platinum partner, Stone Forest IT.”

According to Blackberry market demand for security is shifting from the network of computers to the network of endpoints. These endpoints represent the Enterprise of Things (EoT), which is a collection of devices, computers, sensors, trackers, equipment and other “things.” BlackBerry is addressing EoT with its BlackBerry Secure platform, which helps companies manage and secure their mobile devices and connected things, as well as communications for all messaging and file types.

Eileen Tan, Executive Director of SFIT said, “Our customers' IT concerns always come first. We strive to partner with the best-in-class technology providers to value-add with innovative IT solutions so our customers can focus on what matters most – their business. With BlackBerry Secure solutions and our certified technical professionals, our customers can confidently step up their enterprise security and effectively mitigate risk.“

Platinum, the highest tier in BlackBerry’s global Enterprise Partner Program, recognises partners that have the most in-depth technology skills and expertise and which have made significant investments in building capabilities in BlackBerry solutions. This premier postion is earned by committed partners that have built out a highly qualified end-to-end service practice through BlackBerry competencies. These partners capture the rich consulting, deployment, integration, support and software lifecycle management opportunities created in the move to the mobile business.

BlackBerry offers cloud-enabled software that helps companies manage and secure the Enterprise of Things. The totality of the BlackBerry solution is called BlackBerry Secure, and is grounded in the new BlackBerry mobile software security platform. This foundational platform is compatible with BlackBerry’s current products and third-party software like Microsoft Office 365.

The BlackBerry Enterprise Partner Program is designed to help partners navigate the mobile business environment through secure mobile business solutions for their people, processes and data. It helps ensure partners are well equipped to successfully design, architect, implement and support BlackBerry solutions.
