Rackspace opens office in Singapore

Rackspace, the managed cloud company, is opening an office in Singapore to help businesses in Southeast Asia tap into the power of multicloud environments, without the complexity and cost of managing them in-house.

An IDG Connect and Rackspace survey of IT managers in Singapore revealed that two-thirds of businesses find it challenging to manage multiple workloads and support users across multiple platforms, with many also highlighting the complexity of systems maintenance. The company points out that migration, architecture design and operations can take the focus away from a company’s core business. 

Rackspace helps manage cloud environments, blending technology and automation plus human experts to optimise cost and performance with on-going architecture, security, and 24x7x365 operations. “To help businesses embrace the power of cloud, our ‘Rackers’* deliver specialised expertise, easy-to-use tools, and support for leading cloud technologies. From the new office in Raffles Place, we are moving closer to our customers in Southeast Asia to offer them expert guidance for their cloud infrastructure and operations and to create a new level of end-to-end customer experience,” said Reinhard Waldinger, MD, Rackspace International.

Rackspace already has Singapore-based clients. Recently, the Southeast Asian arm of digital agency SapientRazorfish transformed its campaign deployment process with the help of Rackspace. “We’re transitioning our customers from on-premise infrastructure to cloud environments.
