Fujitsu's recent Fujitsu World Tour – Asia Conference Singapore had the theme of Digital Co-creation, and focused on how Fujitsu works in tandem with customers to connect the digital dots and support business growth.
During the conference, Fujitsu announced a new Digital eXperience Centre in Singapore as an experiential platform to enable businesses to learn more about the latest technologies that can be integrated into existing business strategies.
A memorandum of understanding (MoU) ceremony was also held between Fujitsu and the Advanced Remanufacturing and Technology Centre (ARTC) to accelerate the pace of digital transformation for the factory of the future. The strategic partnership seeks to help businesses of all sizes to tap the potential of smart manufacturing solutions.
Wong Heng Chew, Country President, Fujitsu Singapore, said: “Digital cocreation has become even more essential as we are faced with an increasingly widening gamut of technologies and solutions. By working together and leveraging on the expertise of both public and private sector partners, Fujitsu hopes to work hand in hand with enterprises, both MNCs and SMEs*, to stand out among the competition, locally and in the region.”
The Digital eXperience Centre is supported by the Economic Development Board (EDB) to enable businesses to gain access to cutting-edge solutions, and seek expert advice with greater ease. Through workshops and demonstrations, businesses across all industries will be able to explore technologies that can help to kickstart their digital transformation journey. Opportunities to collaborate, deploy new solutions and scale up existing initiatives will also be available.
“We are delighted that Fujitsu has chosen Singapore to launch its Digital eXperience Centre, which will cocreate innovative digital solutions with businesses across key sectors such as manufacturing, healthcare, and logistics. As an established global technology company, Fujitsu is well-positioned to experiment on new technologies with end customers, with the aim of facilitating the digital transformation of businesses from Singapore. This is testament to Singapore’s vibrant ecosystem where partnerships are forged and innovative new solutions are developed,” said Tung Meng Fai, Director, Infocomms and Media, Singapore Economic Development Board.
Wong added: “We are happy to set up the Digital eXperience Centre as an inspiring and friendly platform to co-create new solutions, as well as identify relevant ones for every business. By creating an environment that makes it easy for businesses to learn, network and collaborate with subject experts, we hope to help support enterprises in achieving a breakthrough in raising productivity and efficiencies through technology.”
Held for the 10th year, the Fujitsu World Tour 2017 is its biggest edition ever. Extended into Asia for the first time, it visits 28 countries across six continents, with the first event held in the US in March.
