SITEX 2017 shows off the latest in consumer and lifestyle IT

SITEX, Singapore's consumer lifestyle IT event, has returned for a 29th edition. Organised by SingEx Exhibitions in partnership with the Singapore Infocomm Technology Federation (SiTF), the event aims to offer a comprehensive range of consumer electronics and IT options.

Experiential zones are the name of the game for SITEX. In the Smart Home Experiential Zone, a simulated home setting, visitors can how technology can enhance different parts of the home, from bedrooms to living rooms and bathrooms, starring Asus, Samsung, Linksys, D-Link, TP-Link, SanDisk, Western Digital, Seagate, and Aztech. Products featured will include smart LED bulbs with colour-changing capabilities, Wi-fi Gigabit routers for gamers and network-attached storage (NAS) for home data backup and multimedia streaming.

An exclusive trade-in service for visitors will be available at the show floor. Items accepted for trade-ins include mobile phones, laptops and game consoles. Bargain hunters can look forward to a S$20 discount when they purchase a new product after trading in their old gadget at B2H’s Booth 7E19, Hall 7E. 

Features at SITEX include SiTF Innovation Alley, which features the best in startup technology. Solutions showcased include insurance technology (insurtech), augmented reality for interior design, as well as health and wellness technology using DNA. 

The SITEX Virtual Reality (VR)/Augmented Reality (AR) and Gaming Zone is brought by MyTradeInPartner, exclusively featuring Sony products. Located in EXPO Hall 8, gamers can see traditional console gaming, virtual VR gaming/equipment and mobile gaming apps. PlayStation consoles supporting games like VR World, GT Sports, FIFA 18, Knack 2, Crash Brandy Code, and No Hero Allowed will be situated all around the VR/AR and Gaming zone for easy audience participation. 

The Audio Room Experiential Zone, in EXPO Hall 8, will meet the increasing demand of the audiophile community for exceptional and high quality sound gadgets. The Audio Room will be transformed into a live stage for musicians including Cold Cut Duo, Too Much Drama, The Tonic ft. Jerry, The Happy Hour Live Band, Electronic Music Productions, Afternoon Acoustics/Ensembles as well as DJ Daryl C, DJ Kaye, DJ Rah and DJ William J from Darker Than Wax. 

Individual sound pods, located in a simulated audio room located offstage, will be installed with speakers and headphones from the exhibitors to showcase the different unique acoustic properties of the latest technology. Live music will be transmitted via Radio Wave technology to individual audio headsets. Brands available at the exhibition include Klipsch, Erato, Devialet and Skull Candy. Visitors can also try out Erato VERSE wireless earbuds based on graphene driver technology and the Klipsch R5 headband.
