Singapore telco Circles.Life is giving everyone mobile Internet access with a new $0/month Flexi Plan. Customers need pay nothing to enjoy 1 GB of mobile data and free talk time.

Circles.Life does not have physical outlets of its own. Customers receive their SIM cards by courier, or after arranging for self-collection at SingPost's islandwide network of post offices. The $0/month Flexi Plan SIM cards will be immediately available through SingPost.

“Technological evolution is reshaping the way businesses operate, and the way people run their lives. That’s why we believe in empowering people by making digital access more available for everyone. For this reason, we released $0/month Flexi Plan that provides customers with 1GB every month for free, giving them access to the internet with no strings attached.” said Rameez Ansar, Circles.Life’s Co-Founder.

“Unlimiting digital access also means making our service more accessible for everyone. By tapping on SingPost’s post offices across Singapore, our service will be even more accessible to more people, leaving no one out of the Smart Nation initiative.”

Terms and conditions do apply. The initiative is meant only for new customers, for example. For S$0, such customers get to enjoy 1 GB of mobile data every month, with 30 minutes of talk time and 10 SMS messages when they sign up with Circles.Life. Customers can also top up their account for more mobile data - 1 GB for S$8, 2 GB for S$12, and additional blocks of 30 minutes' talk time with 10 free SMS for S$5 each.

In comparison, the Circles.Life no-contract base plan costs S$28 a month for up to 6 GB of data, 100 minutes of talk time, and unlimited WhatsApp use*. Customers can tap on an unlimited data option for S$3 a day. For S$48 a month, they can get 26 GB of data.

Sara Kalle, Senior VP, Group Sales, SingPost said: “The post office is an integral part of the neighbourhood, providing postal and other essential services to the community. We are pleased that Circles.Life has leveraged on our islandwide network of post offices to make it more convenient for people to obtain digital access.”

To top it off, Circles.Life is also offering new pay-as-you-go roaming prices at 70% off current rates in 34 countries.

Circles.Life has come up with a range of offers that put pressure on more established telcos. Earlier this month, Circles.Life announced the Rides Earn Data offer with EZ-Link, where customers receive more mobile data for using EZ-Link on public transport. Customers who participate in the programme will automatically receive 1 GB per month for six months if they link their Circles.Life number to their EZ-Link account through the EZ-Link App, and an additional 100 MB for every 10 rides they take with EZ-Link.

“We believe that innovation should be applied in all sectors. The only way to achieve this is by developing partnerships and use that as a unique differentiator in the telco space,” said Abhishek Gupta, Co-Founder of Circles.Life at the time.  “As the only fully digital telco in Singapore, we aim to digitise the nation one vertical at a time, and be part of the Smart Nation plan.”

“EZ-Link constantly seeks collaborations that will make everyday usage of EZ-Link a rewarding experience. We hope that our users will have enhanced experience in our upcoming campaign with Circles.Life via our EZ-Link App,” said Nicholas Lee, CEO of EZ-Link.

Circles.Life has also partnered with oBike, offering riders VIP membership worth S$49 when they used the code OBIKECIRCLES upon checkout with Circles.Life. DBS Bank is another partner, where customers get an instant data boost using DBS reward points. DBS customers can also sign up for a Circles.Life mobile plan digitally through the DBS PayLah! app, DBS/POSB digibank apps and the bank’s website. Both services were enabled by API integration.
