At E3 in the US, which ran mid-June, AMD announced a partnership with Ubisoft to provide Radeon gamers with fast, optimised performance, higher frame rates per second and reduced latency with DirectX 12 technology in Tom Clancy’s Division 2.
Additionally, AMD highlighted technologies enabling new gaming experiences:
This collaboration follows AMD’s work with Ubisoft on Far Cry 5 to ensure gamers enjoy exceptional image quality and high frame rates thanks to Vega-specific features like Rapid Packed Math and Shader Intrinsics. AMD Radeon RX Vega Graphics is for gamers who want to play at the highest resolutions, highest framerates, and maximum settings.
AMD also showed off new ready-to-game partner systems, including the recently-announced Acer Predator Helios 500 notebook, illustrating the increasing portfolio of premium AMD-based systems taking over the global market for gamers.
Additionally, AMD highlighted technologies enabling new gaming experiences:
The new Ryzen 7 2700x processor, included in AMD’s Computex Taiwan 2018 release of second generation Ryzen processors and capable of delivering 100 frames per second in AAA titles and e-sports. AAA games are more sophisticated and tend to have high marketing budgets.
Radeon FreeSync technology, which is now supported on more than 20 Samsung TVs, brings tear-free, smooth and open gameplay to a new, big screen format. According to AMD Radeon FreeSync eliminates choppy gameplay and broken frames with fluid, artifact-free performance at virtually any frame rate.
