Singapore firm Connectivity Global will be launching Receive Guard, an artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled email security system, in partnership with local Microsoft distributor Innovix in Singapore on 12 July. Innovix will also help to launch Receive Guard regionally, to a total of 5,500 resellers in Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong.
Receive Guard complements solutions such as Microsoft Office 365 Advanced Threat Protection (ATP). The software alerts users to spam, phishing and malware including yet-to-be-identified viruses in their inboxes. Malware is tested in a safe virtual area (sandbox), and all malicious
links in the document are converted to image files so users cannot click
on dangerous links by accident. Users are also sent reports, detailing threats found in email attachments,
but retain control of whether they download the attachment.
Connectivity Global aims to make Receive Guard accessible to startups
and small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) in Singapore via a
complementary cloud-based solution.
“The
cloud platform allows SMEs to enjoy elevated security against email
cyberattacks without the need to pay a hefty amount for physical
servers, granting much-needed cybersecurity protection to smaller
players,” says Eugene Lee, Director of Business Development at
Connectivity Global.
Connectivity Global says Receive Guard
is more effective than current solutions available in Singapore, and
that the email security solution can identify questionable emails that
other email security platforms are unable to detect.
Connectivity Global is a joint venture between Korea’s Kiwontech and a
team of Singaporean professionals with over 15 years of experience in
cybersecurity. Developed by Kiwontech, Receive Guard has been used by
government agencies in Korea and private corporations such as Hyundai
and LG Chemistry. Connectivity Global currently holds all intellectual property rights with respect to Receive Guard and will continue to develop additional cybersecurity solutions for the market under the firm.
