Huawei's
philosophy is to offer integrated but modular components for a digital
platform, then to have a good ecosystem supporting it.
While
most companies create that ecosystem to benefit themselves, Huawei is
looking for synergies for its partners too. At the recent Huawei ISP Summit in Indonesia the company invited customers from China so that they can further their interest in investing
in the region, revealed Daniel Zhou, President, South Pacific, Huawei Enterprise Business Group.
"We are trying to do more bridge works
to bridge business between regions," Zhou said during his keynote at the summit.![]() |

Asked about the move later, Zhou elaborated: "We see the ecosystem itelf not simply as the positioning of Huawei but we also want to build the ecosystem."
"Last year we noticed that a lot of Chinese
over the top (OTT) players were very interested in this market. Some are already here. Some are thinking about coming."
The
company is also committed to facilitating interactions the opposite
way, from the Asia Pacific in China. "Singapore companies are also
looking at
opportunities in China," Zhou said. "We will have activities in Shanghai
and Beijing, and they will go with us."
Wing Kin Leung, CTO of Marketing and Solution Sales Department of the Huawei Enterprise Business Group, who called the move "bringing Chinese companies to the Asia
Pacific market edge", added: "We sit in between and facilitate all
the
cooperation..we are happy to see that."
