CES Asia shares details on travel, fashion panels

CES Asia has announced a keynote panel, Tech Innovation in Travel and Tourism, on June 12.

Now in its fifth year, CES Asia 2019 is scheduled June 11-13, 2019 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC) in Shanghai, China.

Wong Hong, President, Greater China and Singapore, Delta Air Lines, and Helen Huang, President Greater China, MSC Cruises will share insights into the future of travel with artificial intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT) and 5G connectivity as well as ways that global companies can innovate like startups.

“Technology is revolutionising the travel experience for consumers through innovation that creates personalised services and unique opportunities for travelers,” said Karen Chupka, Executive VP, CES.

“These dynamic leaders are transforming the travel and tourism industry. We welcome them to the CES Asia stage to show the world how advancements in innovation creates global travel and tourism opportunities.”

“Technology innovation is central to Delta’s multibillion-dollar investments in fleet, airport facilities, products, and people,” said Hong.

“It is changing how Delta operates and transforming customer experience.”

“MSC Cruises is a leader in human-centred digital design innovation,” said Mrs Huang.

“We engage the latest and most advanced technology to enable a fully optimised guest experience onboard and ashore.”

CES Asia also announced that Masha Ma, Chinese fashion designer; Jason Wu, fashion designer; Aroma Xie, co-founder and MarketingDirector of Ontimeshow; Shaway Yeh, founder of yehyehyeh and style editorial director of Modern Media Group; and Xuan Zheng, CEO of Chatail, a WeChat mini program and app that enables customers to connect with retail stores in real time, will take the stage to discuss the connected worlds of technology and fashion.

The Fashion + Tech = Innovation panel extends from a newly-established partnership with Ontimeshow, China’s premier fashion trade show.


“Fashion and innovation have never been more connected, as designers and entrepreneurs embrace technology to advance their creative vision and grow their brands,” said Chupka.

“Every company today is a tech company. We welcome these renowned innovators to the CES Asia stage as they examine how technology is revolutionising the world of fashion and design.”

CES Asia brings together the entire tech ecosystem to build brands, forge partnerships and celebrate the best in consumer tech in Asia. The show will focus on the latest innovation in transportation technology, AI, 5G and startups from around the world, featuring more than 550 exhibiting companies, including more than 115 startups.

Tech Innovation in Travel and Tourism is at 1:30 pm on June 12. All CES Asia keynotes will take place at at the Kerry Hotel, Shanghai Ballroom 2-3.
