Darktrace announces two new offices in Australia

Darktrace, the AI company for cyberdefence, has opened new offices in Sydney and Melbourne, Australia to meet growing demand for its autonomous cyber AI technology.

Darktrace more than doubled its headcount in the last year. The new offices, in Sydney’s Australia Square Tower and Melbourne’s iconic Rialto Building respectively, will support the company’s expansion across the country.

Local customers for the company include City Tattersalls Club, the Victorian Aboriginal Child Care Agency (VACCA), Queensland-based Lockyer Valley Regional Council, and Grant Thornton Australia. Darktrace also counts Telstra and Tesserant as strategic partners.

Marcelo A. Veloz, CEO at City Tattersalls Club commented: “Given the sophistication of the modern cyberthreat, defending our digital infrastructure has never been more significant a challenge. And as we create our plans for a proposed multi-million redevelopment of our property – which includes a hotel, residential tower, and a growing member base – cybersecurity has fast become one of our largest organisational risks.”

He continued: “Darktrace’s ability to neutralise both stealthy threats and machine-speed attacks is nothing short of revolutionary. Armed with powerful AI, we can be assured that, even as our business transforms, our cyberdefences are able to fight back at any moment, allowing us to focus on what we do best – creating a memorable experience for our members.”
