Razer, the global lifestyle brand for gamers, has won two official Best of CES 2020 show awards for the Razer Kishi mobile gaming controller: Best of Gaming and People’s Voice.

The Razer Kishi will be one of the first implementations of a 5G cloud gaming trial set to take place in Singapore this year as part of a partnership between Razer, Singtel and IMDA.

“As part of our aim to create a unique ecosystem of high-performance input devices for cloud gaming, we are excited for the Razer Kishi to be the first use case for 5G cloud gaming in Singapore,” said Min-Liang Tan, Co-Founder and CEO of Razer.

Yuen Kuan Moon, Singtel’s CEO, Consumer Singapore, said, “Next-generation 5G connectivity will give cloud gaming a huge lift by enabling serious gaming on the go and we are excited to bring the Razer Kishi to trial customers in Singapore so they can enjoy a whole new 5G gaming experience on a mobile platform.”

Kiren Kumar, Chief Digital Industry Officer, Digital Industry Singapore (DISG), said, "We congratulate Razer on the win for the Kishi, and we are excited about the upcoming collaboration between Singtel and Razer, which will serve to trial 5G cloud gaming technologies in a live use case in Singapore."

The trial has commenced and will be conducted at three locations – Shaw Centre and Ngee Ann City on the Orchard Road shopping belt, and at Razer’s new Southeast Asia headquarters at one-north. The Razer Kishi will also be used in the trial in Singapore.

The Razer Kishi mobile controllers (for Android or iOS) will be available in Q120, with Singtel as one of the launch partners in Singapore.
